全名：florian cloude de bourneville armstrong
出生地: 英国伦敦
dido 出生于1971年的圣诞节。五岁那年，她从学校里偷了一台录音机，并且毫不费力的就学会了操作。一年之后，她进入伦敦市政厅学校学习音乐。
十岁的时候，她已经能熟练的使用录音设备、钢琴和小提琴了。小时侯，她的很大一部分时间都花在和一个古典乐团四处旅行演出上。然而与此同时，她又在哥哥 rollo 的唱片收藏中“掠夺”了很多东西，包括了朋克乐、灵魂乐以及流行音乐。
她在18岁时就已经拿到了钢琴 、小提琴的硕士学位并参与英国古典乐团的巡回表演。
